Test Analyst / QA Engineer

Job Description:-

• Develop detailed, positive and negative scenario with matching End-to-End Test cases.
• Apply testing/quality assurance (QA) techniques to identify functional and/or non-functional defects within an application throughout its entire development and deployment life cycle.
• Apply various types of testing including functional, non-functional, and maintenance testing (regression and confirmation testing) on software product.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track reported incidents.
• Perform thorough regression testing when incidents are resolved.
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
• Log/report any defect found as incident reports and regularly following up with the development team to ensure these incidents are fixed.
• Stay up to date with best practices and emerging trends in testing tools or test strategies.

Requirements:-

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in IT or any other related field.
• At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Proven work experience in software development.
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes have an advantage.
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
• Solid knowledge of Java, databases/SQL and/or scripting is a plus.
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
• Candidate with programming background such as extensive Java knowledge will have an advantage.
• Adaptable, able to work independently as well as in a team
• Able to work under tight deadlines and energetic team player
