Job Descriptions:
- Legal advisory and risk assessment for consumer related business activities, including product launches, marketing campaigns, customer facing terms and conditions.
- Draft review and negotiate commercial contracts including with vendors (IT, SaaS, hardware), customers, dealers, business partners and other telecommunication providers.
- Support the Regulatory team in connection with consumer protection compliance including under MCMC’s General Consumer Code of Practice, Consumer Protection Act etc.
- Legal advisory on customer complaints, dispute resolution and litigation matters including investigations by regulators/authorities.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting the consumer related business activities e.g. Consumer Credit Bill.
- Deliver training and awareness sessions to internal stakeholders on legal and compliance matters impacting the industry.
- Balance legal issues against commercial requirements in the performance of assigned duties and tasks. Advice must be practical while ensuring Company’s interests are protected and compliance with law observed.
Job Requirements:
- Law degree.
- 7+ years’ experience – being admitted to the Bar is an added advantage.
- Good working knowledge of consumer protection laws, experienced in handling commercial contracts.
- Candidates with experience working in telco / consumer facing industries is desirable.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Salary: RM 10,000 - RM 15,000
